We are indeed living in uncertain times. Many people are experiencing fearful and anxious thoughts just as a result of hearing the daily news. As Christians this is an opportunity for us to shine in dark times. Our trust is not in ourselves, the government, or the wisdom of man. Our trust is in the One True God. However, this does not mean that Christians don’t feel afraid, worry or experience stress. WE DO. The difference is how we respond to these feelings. I think there are two ways we react when worry and stress creep into our lives. One way is to pretend that it isn’t happening and all is well. Just put on a happy face and keep going. The other way to react is to be real, face the facts and go to the Lord with all your true feelings. I have lived both ways. I plead with you, please don’t deny your feelings but instead run to One who can help you. Then you will be able to share with others that a relationship with Jesus is the answer to all their worries.
The next blog post will be part one in a series about dealing with worry. Corrie ten Boom has said much on this subject. You might be surprised to find her words are very relevant to us today. So please follow this blog so you won’t miss anything.

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and over-burdened, and I will give you rest! Put on my yoke and learn from me. For I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 J.B. Phillips
