My Favorite Daily Devotional

As I mentioned in an earlier blog post Coffee with Jesus  I like to have my Bible, journal, daily devotional book and current Bible study all within reach during my morning quiet time. My favorite daily devotional book is Each New Day by Corrie ten Boom.  The format of this little treasure book is perfect for anyone. There is a thought from Corrie for each day, scripture, and prayer. I have read this devotional many times and highly recommend it for anyone. “The highest potential of God’s love and power is available for us in the trivial things of everyday life.

Can men tell that you love Jesus?

Can they, by your life and mine,

See in daily walk and action

That we have His life divine?

Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Matthew 6:9

Lord, show us today in everything we experience that we are dependent children of a loving heavenly Father.”

“Seek the Lord. Keep seeking through prayer, Bible study, and fellowship with other Christians. Give Him an opportunity to multiply what He gave you. He longs to open His resources to you. God is more grieved by powerless Christians than by powerful atheists.”

From Each New DayGod is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8
