What are you reading during the Advent Season this year?
How did you decide what to read?
I didn’t really have any problem choosing this year. It seems that God clearly directed me to a little book on my shelf that I’d read a few years ago. As soon as the book came to mind I knew it was the Advent Devotional for me in 2020. This book is my daily companion waiting for me each morning along with my morning coffee.
God Is In The Manger: Reflections on Advent and Christmas
by
Dietrich Bonhoeffer
The Women of Christmas
by
Liz Curtis Higgs
I read this about 5 years ago and plan to read again in the future. It is an excellent choice for reading as Christmas approaches. It is also an attractive book that looks like part of your Christmas decor with it’s lovely cover.
Corrie’s Christmas Memories
by
Corrie ten Boom
Corrie ten Boom shared her thoughts and memories about Christmas in this book. I have only read portions from it online but would love to actually read the entire book one day. I highly recommend reading any and all books by Corrie ten Boom.
A Christmas Carol
by
Charles Dickens
I read this wonderful book each year at Christmas. I also love to watch the Christmas Carol movies.
“And it was always said of him, that he knew how to keep Christmas well, if any man alive possessed the knowledge. May that be truly said of us, and all of us! And so, as Tiny Tim observed, God bless Us, Every One!”
