Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”
Matthew puts more emphasis on Jesus as King and the theme of Kingdom than the other Gospels. Only Matthew uses the phrase “Kingdom of Heaven”
Be on the lookout for anything at all related to Kingdom as you read in Matthew.
Consider this question while reading. What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus?
When we reach the end of Matthew you will have a collection of references to kingdom.
After reading the last chapter of Matthew you will have an answer to what is means to be a disciple of Jesus.
