God Hears Her Book Review

Book Review for: God Hears Her 40-Day Devotional Journal

Author: Our Daily Bread Ministries

Publisher: Our Daily Bread Publishing

God Hears Her 40-Day Devotional Journal is part of Our Daily Bread’s God Hears Her series

I don’t often choose to read daily devotionals. When I do, it is almost always one of the well known classics. I was attracted to this particular devotional by the pretty cover and the description. This is actually a daily devotional and journal all in one book.

The cover colors are beautiful. Each page is simply lovely. The pages are all in black, white and gray. The floral design and layout make it very inviting for reading and for journaling.

Each of the 40 days begins with a portion of scripture followed by a short devotional. Next is a “connect” section with a question to ponder and space to write. After this an area is provided for written prayer. The last section of each day has a journaling prompt and lined space to write.

Sections in God Hears Her 40-Day Devotional

  1. Scripture passage
  2. Devotional
  3. Connect (question with space to write)
  4. Journaling prompt with area to write
  5. Take Inventory (suggestion to consider with space to write a list of ideas)

I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of this 4o day devotional journal.

I love that each section was well connected to the scripture portion. I think this devotional journal is especially ideal for those who want to begin the habit of daily journaling. It is easy to see how anyone who likes to use colored pencils would enjoy adding their own personal artistry to the pages.

I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this devotional in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
