Bible reading plan

Bible Reading Plan

Have you selected a Bible reading plan for the new year? I’ve got a new plan for you to consider if you don’t have one yet. It is a plan for reading the New Testament. Please continue reading if you are interested.

I developed this plan because this year I want to

  • read the New Testament only
  • read at a slow pace
  • read the gospels throughout the year

Read the New Testament in 2021

Read the New Testament in one year by reading five chapters each week.

Reading only 5 chapters from the New Testament each week allows time to read and study without being rushed. The slower pace of this plan allows you the time to dig deep, meditate on the scriptures, study, pray…

This plan has one chapter to read from the New Testament each weekday of the year.*

Selected Psalms or Proverbs are optional readings for the weekends.

You can easily adapt the plan to suit your own schedule or needs if desired.

*There is one exception to this – when reading the single chapter of Philemon is combined with reading of the last chapter of Titus

One special feature of this plan allows reading the gospels through the year instead of reading them one after the other.

The 2021 Reading Plan starts with Luke and ends with John. Please see the order of reading listed below.

Note: if you want to read the New Testament in a different order you can still read it in one year as long as you read 5 chapters each week.

Reading Order
