Matthew 24 and 25

Well here we are in the middle of August. On Friday our reading was Matthew 24 and today we read chapter 25. Even if you are not following the reading plan, I hope you will read these two amazing chapters. This is where Jesus speaks about end time events. Matthew 24 and 25 is a very densely packed portion of scripture.

So much in these verses can be discussed concerning interpretation. Study of various views and seeking to understand the things Jesus was speaking of here is well worth your time.

Today I would like to bring your attention to the end of chapter 25. These last verses are the easiest for us to understand. So it seems we might want to pay very close attention to these words of Jesus. Specifically, I am referring to Matthew 25:31-46

No matter what is happening in the world today we find in these verses the answer to how we can actually serve Jesus. It is the same way it was back when Jesus originally spoke these words and it will continue to be the way to serve Him.

...‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ - Matthew 25:40
