Lately, I’ve been starting my mornings by opening the blinds of my second-story bedroom window and then stand there looking out toward the sunrise. Praise and thankfulness naturally happen once my gaze is fixed skyward. This is my brief early morning prayer time. Even if it’s only a very few minutes it seems to get my day going in the right direction. Next, I usually have a short time of Bible reading and scripture writing. Then I head downstairs for coffee!

Scripture Writing – Week 2

Welcome to week 2 of the June and July Scripture Writing Plan.

How did you like the first week of the plan? Did you write more verses than what are listed on the plan each day? I found that reading the surrounding verses to understand the context usually resulted in my choosing to write out a few more verses. After writing the verses I like to underline or circle key words and make a few notes in my notebook. Also finding this scripture writing activity to be a helpful guide for praying.

I’m really enjoying this theme of God’s Word. How about you? Please share something about your scripture writing experience in the comments below.

If you don’t know about the scripture writing plan, please see – Starts Today

Be sure to download a copy of the plan, grab a notebook along with your Bible and join us in the Psalms this week.
